Pre-Renovations

So... In December of 2017 I did a crazy thing... I bought a camper.

There are several reasons this was definitely a slightly insane venture... I had never towed anything besides a car carrier before; I knew (and currently barely know) anything about campers; I was on contract in Northern Iowa [shout out to Independence, IA]- the camper was located in Columbus, OH; I had to be in Southern Texas three days later for Jury Duty and the icing on the cake... this all went down the same weekend Winter Storm Frankie dumped snow all across the North even faster than originally predicted.
Even though several people were convinced this might actually be the end of me - I was more determined than ever to pick up this camper. I had spent a good year doing research into campers that fell within my tow capacity and this one was the perfect price for a remodel that would ultimately lead to full time living. Below are the pictures that chronicle that lovely adventure as well as the pictures of Burrito prior to the removal and replacement of parts... Including pictures of things I managed to break pretty much immediately- yah I'm pretty much a walking destruction machine sometimes.
I decided on a 3326K Trailmanor which is kinda a niche camper but the neatest thing I've seen since discovering Airstreams. The floorplan is the first picture listed followed by the adventure pictures. It is similar to a Hi-Lo in that it's a hardside pop up, but it is was roomier and lighter. They no longer manufacture the bigun' but it is the perfect amount of space to total weight for me and Chip.
The layout of Burrito  [minus the reclining chair in mine]

The moment I realized that I would never get ahead of the storm

Ok... so it looks almost normal right.. LMAO just wait...🤦🏽‍♀️

Sooooo...somewhere in downtown Columbus while switching bewteen 4WD to 4Low to avoid certain death...a chunk of ice disconnected the entire trailer plug- this became the solution as it was ya know the middle of a blizzard and all...🌨

Made it to Indianapolis for a rest area nap after almost a solid day of blizzard driving 😴

HA! It only took me about 9 passes to get close enough to get gas on my first attempt... LOL   {Also.. this is what happens when you don't think about getting mud flaps during the winter while towing.. yah road grime and ice}😅

I couldn't even scrape the ice off the mirrors, but it did make a neat pattern

Made it to Missouri on New Year's Eve- Just in time to nap, socialize and head to Texas for Jury Duty 💁🏽

Now on to Burrito
  Burrito all opened up

I have horizontal tanks {totally not exhangable btw} that go under the couch slide out

Sorry it's so blurry, it's the only living room area photo I have before we started removing things

[All folded down of course for travel purposes]

The old doorknob that got replaced and the dinette roof after closing it up

Sooo...The things I managed to break.. pretty much instantly...🙇🏽‍♀️
Soooooooo... I broke this the same day I bought it...🙄
Also I don't know if that's a finger or my bun in the corner fuzzing up the picture 🤨

The handle we accidentally ripped right off while pulling out the couch
